Training and events
The last public training schedule kept from the old site is labeled 2022. Nothing in that text is a current registration.
Programs the old site described
Virtual Associate workshop
The 2022 schedule described a multi-session workshop for one person, with no preset start date. Topics named there: functional analysis, evolution of systems, contradictions and how to resolve them, Su-Field analysis, resource analysis, and a short look at scientific effects. The page said the Associate exam from the Altshuller Institute followed the workshop.
Individual Associate path
Another page split individual training into a two-day introduction and a three-day course that prepared people for the Associate examination. Onsite workshops at a company were offered, including work on that company’s problems.
Corporate team
The team-development page described an in-house program that trains Associates, Practitioners, and Specialists on the company’s own problems. It said modules 1 through 5 took about 8 to 12 months, with a further expert stage of another 1 to 2 years or longer. Classes were at the client’s site and began at 8:30 a.m. Fees were quoted to the client. The page said graduates would be certified by the Altshuller Institute, and that solving in-house problems during the course was how a client might recover the cost.
Product development workshop
A 16-hour workshop, described as two days, on levels of innovation, lines of evolution, and functional analysis, applied to next-generation products and to problems the attendees brought. The page said it would run when five or more people enrolled, and that the fee included the book And Suddenly the Inventor Appeared.
Named, not scheduled
A page of workshops “being developed” listed breaking patents, invention made simple, system evolution, soft TRIZ for non-technical problems, TRIZ for STEM teachers, and TRIZ for STEM students. It asked readers to check back. No dates were given.
TRIZCON
The old store sold a review of TRIZCON 2023 presentations. The pages kept here do not give a venue, a date, or a program for a coming TRIZCON.
A problem, not a course
The TIC-TRIZ Challenge invited a company to bring one unsolved problem and work it with TIC and the company’s own project members. The page said a hard problem is not solved in an hour or two, and that the first step is to name the function and why it is not achieved.
TODO. Which of these programs are still offered, the current calendar, the current fees, and the next TRIZCON. The old pages printed dollar amounts (including a 2022 workshop figure written as $3,500, a $250 add-on for testing and membership, a 3-day Associate price of $2,550, and a 16-hour workshop at $1,300, $1,200, or $1,100 by group size). They also named Holiday Inn Express at 110 Summer Street, Worcester, and a corporate rate code. Those commercial details are not repeated here.
